Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 8, 2026
Last Updated: April 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Jeremiah Norman Liverseidge, doing business as Zestt ("Zestt," "I," "me," or "my"), processes information in connection with the Zestt Kitchen mobile application ("App"), related web pages, and support workflows.

1. Scope and Controller

Data Controller: Jeremiah Norman Liverseidge (d/b/a Zestt)
Contact: zestt.support@protonmail.com
This Policy applies to processing performed through the App and official Zestt support pages.

2. Categories of Information Processed

3. What Stays On-Device vs. What May Leave Your Device

Zestt is local-first. Pantry records, most recipe matching state, queue edits, and core usage content are designed to remain on your device.

Certain data may leave the device when needed for service operation, including billing verification, regional bootstrap configuration, signed pack delivery, and optional platform speech services.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

5. Purposes of Processing

6. Third Parties and Recipients

Depending on your platform/configuration, data may be processed by the following categories:

7. Data Sharing and Sale

Zestt does not sell personal data and does not share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising. Data is disclosed only where required to run the service, fulfill your requests, protect security/integrity, or comply with law.

8. Regional Capability Delivery

The App may use a minimal bootstrap/config service to determine market readiness and required capability packs (for example store mappings, OCR/voice language assets, and regional food metadata). Pack artifacts are verified using integrity controls (including checksum/signature checks). If required packs are unavailable or invalid, the App may run in reduced manual-first mode.

9. Data Retention

On-device data is retained until deleted by you, app reset, app uninstall, or operational overwrite. Remote operational records, if any, are retained only as needed for service operation, security, and legal compliance, then deleted or de-identified.

10. Security and Encryption in Transit

Reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards are applied. Communications with supported endpoints are encrypted in transit (for example HTTPS/TLS). No system can guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Rights and Choices

12. Children

The App is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age (or the age of majority where higher). If you believe data from a minor was provided in error, contact zestt.support@protonmail.com.

13. International Availability

Features may vary by region and rollout phase. Some markets may receive limited/manual-first behavior pending quality and compliance readiness.

14. Changes to This Policy

Zestt may update this Policy. Material updates will be posted with a revised "Last Updated" date.
